Student awards open for entries

Architects for Health is inviting architectural students from all over the world to submit projects for consideration at the third annual Student Healthcare Design Award in 2009.

Any architectural project concerning healthcare design or a response to a sample brief provided by AfH is eligible for entry by students who are presently studying or have completed their studies within 18 months of submission date.

To enter the awards, which are sponsored by global asset manager, Brookfield students must submit a 300-600 word document (in English, MSWord or txt format) describing the design brief and the proposal and four A3 landscape PDF or JPG graphics.

The prize fund, which in 2008, was £1,000, will be allocated by the judges for the winning and runner up projects at a presentation evening at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, UK on 27 August 2009, when all short-listed entries will be presented by the author or a selected representative.

Shortlisted entries and the winner will be published in a wide range of leading industry and design publications, including World Health Design.

To submit, entries should be mailed to [email protected] by 3 July 2009. For full submission details, visit: www.afhawards.org
