Building Better Healthcare Awards call for entries
Entries are now open for the 2009 Building Better Healthcare (BBH) Awards, which aim to provide a benchmark for good and effective healthcare design.
The judging panel, chaired by Susan Francis, special advisor for health at the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE), is looking for projects that have made a significant contribution to healthcare, including high-quality design; examples of good teamwork between clients, designers and contractors; whole-life value for money; client satisfaction; patient safety; and sustainability.
Only projects completed between completed between July 2008 and July 2009 will be considered.
Categories include:
Best Hospital Design Best Primary Care Design (projects with a value below £15m) Best Community Care Design (projects with a value above £10m) Best Residential Care Design Best Mental Health Design Best Sustainable Design Best End-of-Life Care Design Best International Design
The awards are organised by Building Better Healthcare and sponsored by public services consultancy Tribal.
Entries close on 15 June 2009 – the entry fee will be reduced by £20 for entries received before 8 May 2009.
The awards will be presented on 12 November 2009 at The Brewery in London.
